One’s from the block and the other’s living in a love story, but despite their opposite styles, Jennifer Lopez and Taylor Swift are collaborating on a new single.
The two first sparked a friendship when JLo joined Taylor on stage during one of Taylor’s Red Tour stops in Los Angeles. The two hit it off immediately and apparently it sparked creative juices.
Taylor gushed on JLo before introducing her to a sold out crowd at the Staples Center that everyone has that one “hairbrush song growing up” which they sing incessantly in front of their mirror into a hairbrush. She stated that “Jenny From The Block” was her hairbrush song.
JLo was quite the high-energy surprise considering Taylor’s other surprise guests in LA consisted of more laid back artists like Sara Bareilles, Tegan and Sara, Ellie Goulding, and Cher Lloyd.
A collaboration between JLo and Taylor will be interesting for sure. JLo is all about the dance moves and driving beat while Taylor is more about the story-line.
Watching the video of the two during the Red Tour was quite fun. JLo brought a special energy out of Taylor that I have never seen.
The single will appear on JLo’s upcoming studio album, slated for a 2014 release.
